The BUR catch

A BUR (Back-Up Retention) magazine catch is a replacement over standard magazine catches. Its patented design enables a firearm to retain unseated magazines and assist in reloads.

Rifles with a standard mag catch can be unpredictable. Some unseated mags slide out immediately while others may eject during the recoil impulse of the previously chambered round.

Example scenarios that may be improved:
1. unseated mag that causes a misfeed
2. unseated mag that ejects from the recoil impulse of the previously chambered round
3. mag slides out during reload/palm slap
